. The goal of the Ex-situ Conservation Subgroup is to respond to the many needs for ex-situ conservation of cycads by developing and promoting a network of botanical institutions that (1) will ensure that all Critically Endangered cycad taxa are represented in genebanks within three years and all Endangered taxa within five years, and (2) can provide the expertise and plant material required to support community nurseries and reintroduction programmes. The following is a survey developed for the Ex-situ Conservation and Recovery Programme and distributed to various botanical gardens around the world.
